Vanessa Baker
Clinical Psychologist

Vanessa is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. She is passionate about building strong relationships with her clients and supporting them to build greater understanding, insight, and practical skills to navigate the issues that brought them to therapy. 

Vanessa has worked across a range of settings—including private practice, schools, hospitals, and community mental health services. She previously worked at the Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) at Hornsby Hospital, working with young people and their families with severe, complex, and acute mental health concerns. 

Vanessa works with a broad range of presenting issues (outlined below). She is a certified schema therapist and TF-CBT clinician. Vanessa is also a board-approved supervisor for Clinical Psychology Registrars. 

Aside from her clinical work, Vanessa has worked within research teams at the School of Psychiatry at the University of New South Wales and the Academic Unit of Child Psychiatry in South Western Sydney. Areas of research included transition to school guidelines for autistic children and partner communication during pregnancy.
