Our approach

In providing quality support, we are committed to:

  • Taking the time to get to know you and how we can support you

  • Using therapeutic approaches that are backed up by research

  • Working with you in an individually-tailored and collaborative way

  • Creating a warm, supportive, and safe space to work towards your goals

The process

1

Initial Assessment

The first step involves getting to know you, discussing your situation, and identifying what you would like to get out of sessions. You may also be asked to complete some questionnaires.

Duration: 1.5 hours

2

Follow-up sessions

In your next session, we typically begin working towards your goals. The duration of your treatment will depend on the nature, severity, and complexity of your situation. It is common that we will set outside-session tasks to help generalise skills learnt in session to the outside world.

Duration: 50-60 minutes

3

Finishing up

Once you have made good progress and no longer require ongoing support, we typically come up with a plan for finishing up, which often involves gradually reducing the frequency of your sessions with a view to ceasing sessions all together. You can always re-refer if you need further support in future.
